After 20 impactful years, the SyBBURE Searle Undergraduate Research Program's funding is scheduled to conclude at the end of summer 2027.

Over the past two decades, the program has made a real difference by opening doors for students, building community, and showing its value again and again.

This moment is both a time to look back and a chance to move forward. With your support, the SyBBURE Searle Undergraduate Research Program does not have to end in 2027. A gift to extend the program will help carry its proven impact into the future and allow the work built over 20 successful years to keep growing.

Join us in sustaining this legacy and helping shape what comes next.

What is Vigilante Innovation?

Core Concept

The concept of Vigilante Innovation (VIX) exists to encourage students to take matters into their own hands when it comes to innovation. Don’t presume those with more experience are the only ones equipped to make things better. Interest, drive, and an important problem are the more critical factors.

Functionality

As a tool, it takes the form of a design guide to help students navigate the design process, to give them a framework they can fall back on in the future when they dream up an idea they want to pursue.

We want others to benefit (freely) from our efforts, so we turned it into a website for your use. The full guide can be downloaded below. But you can also look at the activities separately on the following pages and download only the activities you want.
